Win number 4 for the Louisville Cardinals, over outmanned St. Francis Brooklyn, was an 85-41 pummeling at the Yum! Center. The Cards’ leading scorer was Damion Lee with 25 points.
Chinanu Onuaku, gaining a reputation as the most improved player in the ACC, led the Cards with a dozen rebounds, and sophomore guard Quentin Snider pitched in 10 assists. 6-foot-10 freshman Ray Spalding had 12 points, eight coming in the first half.
Samford, Hartford, North Florida and now St. Francis haven’t really challenged the Cards, but the heavy lifting is coming.
The Cards play St. Louis in New York Saturday night before their first contest against a ranked opponent – Dec. 2 at Michigan State. The Spartans are currently ranked #3.
