Featuring a dozen musicians, Pink Martini performs its multilingual repertoire on concert stages and with symphony orchestras throughout Europe, Asia, Greece, Turkey, the Middle East, Northern Africa, Australia, New Zealand, South America, and North America. Pink Martini made its European debut at the Cannes Film Festival in 1997 and its orchestral debut with the Oregon Symphony in 1998 under the direction of Norman Leyden. With more than three decades of experience as a Music Director, conductor of Pops, and in the opera pit, Louisville Orchestra Principal Pops Conductor Bob Bernhardt continues to bring his unique combination of easy style, infectious enthusiasm, and wonderful musicianship to the city and orchestra he loves. Bernhardt holds a Masters degree from the University of Southern California’s School of Music where he studied with Daniel Lewis. His two children, Alex and Charlotte, live in Seattle.
