LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 5, 2016) — Doc’s Cantina, 1201 River Rd., now welcomes diners to travel South of the Border with traditional Latin street food and tropical craft cocktails. The Louisville restaurant, located in Waterfront Park at the foot of the Big Four Bridge, opened after a year-long transformation that resulted in a bold and festive atmosphere inspired by an authentic Mexican cantina. Vibrant murals and a 15-foot agave light sculpture created by local artists complement the creative menu influenced by corporate chef Jonathan Schwartz’s family ties to Mexico. Open seven days a week for lunch, dinner and brunch, the 400-seat restaurant includes panoramic views of the Ohio River from every table and two levels of patio seating. People picking up meals after work, picnicking in the park and boaters docking at the public slips outside the restaurant can get to-go orders of food and drinks from a separate carry-out entrance.
