78 Legends bourbon release party, Frazier History Museum, Feb. 2

On Thursday, February 2 the Frazier History Museum will host the release party for 78 Legends, a limited-edition bourbon.

78 Legends is a limited-edition blend of Kentucky 5-year and 50-year bourbon whiskeys, honoring the players and the coaches of the 1978 University of Kentucky NCAA championship basketball team.

Each bottle was dipped in Kentucky blue wax and signed exclusively by three players from the title-winning team: Jack “Goose” Givens, Rick Robey, and Kyle Macy.

These three players will appear at the Frazier for the release party, and there’ll be a discussion about the 1977–78 championship season with the event’s host, UK’s all-time leading scorer Dan Issel.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with gallery access from 6:30–7:30 p.m. The program will run from 7:30–8:30 p.m.

Admission to the event is the $1978 (plus tax) cost of the bottle and collectors’ package, which includes admission for two (the purchaser plus one guest). Admission is exclusively available to bottle purchasers.

Only 1978 bottles were produced, and each bottle is marked, 1 through 1978. The link to learn more and purchase the bottles is here: https://www.78legends.bourbon-trumando.com/?aff=ck.
