Jeffersonville, IN – Abbey Road on the River, the world’s largest Beatles inspired music festival, will return to the Big Four Station Park in Jeffersonville over Memorial Day weekend, May 23-27, 2019. More than 20,000 fans and 60 bands from around the world are expected to come together to celebrate the music of the 60’s and experience the magic of The Beatles at the 5-day event. A few highlights of the 2019 festival will include:
- To honor the 50th anniversary of the Abbey Road album, the festival will present a never-before-seen original concert appropriately named “Abbey Road on the Dark Side” on Sunday, May 26 at 9pm. Two powerhouse bands, Classicstone from Colombia and the Jukebox Beatles from Puerto Rico, will combine to seamlessly blend Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moonwith The Beatles’ Abbey Road for one big psychedelic show. World renowned harpist and southern Indiana resident Erin Hill will also make her festival debut as part of the performance, marking the first time she’ll play at the festival.
- For the first time, the School of Rock Louisville will showcase some of their young talent at the festival on Friday, May 24 and Saturday, May 25 at 5:15pm. School of Rock is a world leader in performance-based music education, and these young musicians will play The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, and many songs from the 1969 Woodstock festival.

Festival goers will enjoy new food options on site, with more diverse and more local food offerings including Orange Clover, 502 Café BBQ, Ramiro’s, The Celtic Pig, and ten other vendors.
Attendees can also enjoy a playground area for children, Beatles merchandise and retail vendors, interactive art installations, and a variety of food and bar services. The 2019 festival headliners include The Buckinghams (“Kind of a Drag”), The Cowsills (“Hair” and “The Rain, the Park, and Other Things”), The Grass Roots (“Midnight Confessions” and “Temptation Eyes”), and special guests Peter Asher and Jeremy Clyde performing together now as “Peter and Jeremy.” Other highlights will include a tribute to Queen, a concert celebrating the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, and several appearances by former Paul McCartney and Wings drummer Geoff Britton who will perform with The Cryers.
