Access Louisville: The State of Dining Out is Louisville Business First’s live ticketed podcast event that takes place on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

The conversation is sponsored by Baird, the international financial services firm, and will take place at the Baird Conference Center on the 29th floor of 500 West Jefferson, formerly PNC Plaza, in downtown Louisville (500 W. Jefferson St.)

Louisville’s dining scene has come a long way from the days when green chili wontons and a spot on Bardstown Road defined the city’s culinary identity. Today’s chefs are navigating a far more complex landscape — responding to diners’ appetite for inventive dishes, adapting to changing neighborhood dynamics and managing relentless pressures of food and labor costs. And now the industry’s biggest night, Kentucky Oaks, is bracing for a major shift of its own with a newly announced later start time.

Join us on April 21 for a conversation with three Louisville restaurant industry veterans about how they’re meeting these challenges in real time. The discussion will be recorded live as a special edition of the Access Louisville podcast.

(Let’s hope Bristol Bar & Grill’s ears aren’t burning, lol.)
