It has been a (shall we say) confusing year for Louie’s Hot Chicken & Barbecue (4222 Poplar Level Road in Camp Tayor), not the least of which because it’s Louie’s Hot Chicken & Barbecue again. A brief chronology of Facebook posts follows.
August 1: It is with bittersweet and sticky BBQ memories that Louie’s must announce we will be bidding adieu to our hot chicken legacy this weekend. We will be closing our doors to remodel and re work the menu into something different, but still delicious.
August 27: We’re very excited to announce that today is reopening day!! While we’ve made some changes to the name and menu, our devotion to serving quality food will remain the same. Stop by Louie’s Soup & Sandwiches, we’re excited to see you!
Sept. 10: BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND…
LOUIE’S SMOKED WINGS ARE BACK ON THE MENU!

Sept. 26: Starting today the hot chicken sandwich and fries are back on the menu. Come see us!!
Nov. 10: Louie’s Hot Chicken & BBQ is excited to announce NEW OWNERSHIP under Louie’s longtime Pit Master. We heard you loud and clear — and we’re bringing HOT CHICKEN back where it belongs … Thank you for your support and we can’t wait to serve you again.

If you know, you know — and it doesn’t matter who killed JR because Louie’s Hot Chicken & Barbecue is baaack.
