Can you believe it? Just 3 days ago I sat in my car hoping the temperatures would drop. 100 degrees had gotten old fast. I was going to write a post about how the world slowed down as the temp hit 100 plus. Really, doing anything, going anywhere had gone into a slow motion mode. Traffic slowed to a crawl and the heat seamed to amplify our frustrations.
Today temperatures in the 60’s were an amazing change of pace! Sure the colder temps are not here to stay yet… but what a treat opening up my window and getting some natural air condition in the house.
What this really boils down to is how lucky we are to live in a climate like the one here in the Ohio Valley. I’ve lived in a number of other cities including Atlanta and Orlando. I hated the fact we never really had cold weather in Orlando. Sure the temps dipped for a short time in the winder but it rarely happened.
No all we need is for someone to start tracking the forecasts of out local meteorologists. Wouldn’t it be great to keep a score board to see who calls the storms first and most accurately! What a nightmare for the promotion departments of our local TV stations!
