An honest appeal from FaiDodos highlights the importance of the Local Multiplier Effect

340

As a prelude to this message from FaiDodos (7815 Hwy. 311 in Sellersburg), the Local Multiplier Effect results from the fact (proven in numerous studies) that “independent locally owned businesses recirculate a far greater percentage of revenue locally compared to absentee-owned businesses. In other words, spending locally creates more local wealth and jobs.”

Meanwhile, FaiDodos boasts an eclectic New Orleans-influenced menu that separates the establishment from Southern Indiana’s “burgers and fries” norm, with items ranging from gumbo to spanakopita, with pepperoni pizza eggrolls and a Philly cheesesteak.

On Friday, FaiDodos released a video in which the principals say aloud what many Louisville area food and drink operators lament in private: it’s tough out there for indies.
