As a preface, here at Food & Dining Magazine we help spread the word about APRON Inc. as often as possible.
APRON Inc. was created in 2011 to help provide financial relief to food and beverage industry workers in the Louisville, Kentucky metropolitan area who find themselves in need during times of crises.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, APRON Inc. has stepped up with a far greater volume of assistance to local workers than ever before, paying out approximately one million dollars in grants to more than 1,100 employees from over 180 restaurants during the past three years alone.

On Sunday, October 13 APRON Inc. honors its 13th birthday with the 10-Taste Salute Gala, an event to be held at The Olmsted (3701 Frankfort Avenue). This year’s fundraiser celebrates the life, times, and cooking of recently retired chef and local culinary icon Anoosh Shariat, with a theme of Chef Anoosh’s timeless philosophy: “Eat Well, Love Life.”
