I’m slightly embarrassed to be this late in reporting the opening of Bloom Coffee (Nov. 15) in New Albany, especially since this new coffee shop is so near to where we live.
Bloom’s setting is The District Artisan Market & Patio (845 E. 15th St.), described as “a local artisan market with unique shopping, coffee, treats, lounging, and community, celebrating creativity and connection.”
It’s an adaptively reused and beautifully refurbished former lumber warehouse in a (mostly) residential area.

Bloom Coffee serves Sunergos Coffee, and the owners place their mission statement right out front.
Great Coffee: Our drinks are the core of what we do – from our elevated classics to our original creations, you can expect distinct flavors and a unique journey in every cup.
Community: We support the people that supports us. We aim to be a welcoming environment for everyone and allow for a space to be seen and heard. As lifelong New Albanians, we love the city and want to aid in its success.
Experience: Coffee tells a story. From a terroir-focused pourover menu, to an ever-changing special drink menu, we aim to provide every customer with the best possible experience from the moment you enter.
