Chica’s Cantina to bring Mexican street food to Louisville’s Butcher Block
Husband-and-wife duo Vikrant Multani and Christian Nava plan to open Chica’s Cantina in the Butcher Block development at 1015 E Main St. in Butchertown. The couple is known for their vegan restaurant, Shahar, which opened in 2024, as we reported at the time.
A news release describes Chica’s Cantina as a fresh and festive taquería that blends authentic Mexican roots with contemporary flair.
“Chicas Cantina is inspired by the energy and joy of Mexican street food culture,” Christian Nava said in the release.
Late night hours are projected; the timeline for the opening of Chica’s Cantina is “early December.”
