I don’t usually spend time reviewing movies. I’m making an exception because I need to warn you about the biggest waste of time an money on a movie called Bunrake. Let’s face it, there’s not much at the box office these days and my wife Norine and I were looking for a little entertainment on a Saturday night. So we rented several films today and the results were less than spectular.
Bunraku has some pretty good names in it: Josh Hartnett, Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson. It’s The story of a young man who spent his life searching for revenge only to find himself up against a bigger challenge than he originally bargained for.
After an hour I have up. Why I wasted an hour and 3 bucks on this piece of junk I’ll never know. I thought the effects were interesting but the script tanked. IMDB gave this trash 6.1 out of 10. Who rated it? Who watched it? No kidding Josh, Demi and Woody should fire their agents and buy every copy of this movie and bury all copies!
Don’t rent this movie and only watch it on Netflix on a night you can’t sleep. It’s better than Ambien. Hollywood, we expect better of you!
