Edibles & Potables: Listening to goat cheese, hot peppers, pizza, donuts and craft beer

Hi, I’m Roger, your daily Food & Dining website contributor, who gradually is becoming accustomed to the sound of his own voice.

Allow me to explain.

As if we didn’t have enough to keep us busy, early this year a quartet (temporarily pared down to a trio owing to work-related issues) comprised of local yokels in New Albany came together to podcast, or in our parlance, pubcast.

The idea is to set up on Thursdays as often as possible at the Donum Dei Brewstillery (3211 Grant Line Rd.), drink a beer or two, and talk about all sorts of things. We quickly evolved from random ramblings to inviting locally involved guests, several of whom are in the food and drink business.

Five such episodes are listed here along with their Spotify links, followed by a more in-depth description of our (my?) aims. Please listen, and let me know what you think.

#15: Today we meet local author, musician and capsaicin tolerant (well, most of the time) adventurer Kevin Gibson.

#14: This week’s guest is David Taylor, who along with his wife Beth owns and operates Sirocco Ridge Farms (“Sustainable, Humane Agriculture”) in Southern Indiana. Think: goat cheese.
