We like to think we’re kinda “with it” around here at LouisvilleKY.com. We like to think we’ve got all the fancy techno-stuff covered, but as I keep learning about the changing media landscape, we’re not so cool. But at least we can now tell you we’ve launched an eNewsletter so that you can keep up with the posts of our 30 or so writers.
I know that in my previous ventures as a blogger, I heard often how people I met wanted to know what’s going on with the site, and loved the daily email they’d received with a list of posts for the day. So that’s what we’ve created here — a simple list in your email every day highlighting the day’s posts.
And don’t be afraid. I promise we won’t take your email and sell it to a porn site. We just want to make it more convenient for you to visit the site and know what we’re doing. And if you like what you see, please spread the word. You can “Like” any post on Facebook with the icons listed at the bottom of the page.
The box for signing up is on the right sidebar. Thanks. Here’s some further instruction:
To subscribe to the LouisvilleKy.com eNewsletter just put your email address and name in the form on the right side of this page, and then click Subscribe. Then check your email for a message asking you to validate your subscription by clicking on a link. (If you don’t get the email within a few minutes be sure to check your spam folder.) When you click the link you will be sent to a confirmation webpage, which indicates that you are now a subscriber.
NOTE: the confirmation email will also have an optional link to “Manage your Subscription”. Following this link lets you fine tune what you get and when you get it:
- By default, everyone is signed up to receive a daily digest of the previous day’s postings from all sections, and breaking news alerts (which will rarely be sent out manually).
- If you like to get the news when it happens, then sign up to receive each new post by checking the box at the bottom of the Newsletter list on the Manage Subscription page, which reads: For each new post, then click the Ok button.
- Or, if you want to narrow down the topics that you subscribe to you can do it on this page as well.
