Louisville, Ky. – Greater Louisville Inc. will present three of its prestigious Silver Fleur-de-Lis awards at the Metro Chamber’s upcoming Annual Meeting on Monday, February 25, 2019. The Silver Fleur-de-Lis was created by GLI to recognize outstanding commitments and achievements over the past year in making the Greater Louisville region a better place live and work.
Danny Wimmer Presents will be recognized for its creation of three exciting, new festivals in Louisville. Bourbon & Beyond, Louder Than Life and Hometown Rising are incredible additions to Greater Louisville’s growing list of cultural attractions. Each event showcases the Louisville region’s welcoming spirit, independent attitude and unique cultural blend to music lovers from all over the world.
Kentucky International Convention Center will receive an award for completion of its $207 million expansion and renovation project in downtown Louisville. The two-year project transformed the convention center to once again make Louisville a top destination for conventions. KICC represents more than $53 million in annual economic impact for Louisville and Kentucky.
Omni Louisville Hotel in downtown Louisville celebrated its long-awaited opening in 2018 – completing a stunning, 30-story addition to the Louisville skyline. The $315 million project is transformational for Greater Louisville, bringing a 612-room luxury hotel, the upscale Bob’s Steak & Chop House, a new Falls City Market and 70,000 square feet of meeting and event space to the Louisville region.

The Greater Louisville Inc. Annual Meeting will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. at the Kentucky International Convention Center, located at 221 S. Fourth St. in Louisville. Delivering this year’s keynote will be Thomas Frey, Google’s top-rated futurist and a former IBM engineer.
