GLI Names Vice President of Economic Development

Louisville, KY – Greater Louisville Inc. is pleased to announce Deana Epperly Karem will join the organization as Vice President of Economic Development on September 1, 2015.  Karem will spearhead GLI’s economic development efforts by leveraging the Greater Louisville region’s assets to attract, retain and expand businesses in order to advance the regional economy and promote long-term job growth.  Karem’s primary responsibility will be leading GLI’s new regional economic development organization (REDO).

Karem is currently the Executive Director of the Oldham Chamber & Economic Development. She previously served as the Director of Client Solutions at GLI from 1998 – 2006. Karem is heavily involved in regional economic development boards including KentuckianaWorks, and is the current chair of the Kentucky Association for Economic Development (KEAD). 
Karem completed her undergraduate work at University of Louisville and also holds a Masters of Public Administration degree from UofL.
