First things first: For all things bourbon, be sure to visit Fred Minnick Dot Com early and often.
Now to the main course: Green River Distilling Co. in Owensboro describes itself as “the western gate of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.”
Recently Green River, which is owned by Bardstown Bourbon Co., announced a new “gate” in the form of a tasting room to be located at 714 W. Main Street in Louisville.
And Fred Minnick has the information release: Green River to Open New Tasting Room on Whiskey Row.
Green River Distilling Co. has begun construction on a new consumer experience that will bring “The Pride of Owensboro” to the streets of Downtown Louisville. Located at 714 W. Main Street, Green River’s Louisville tasting room is set to open mid 2025.
The communal space will feature a horseshoe-shaped tasting and cocktail bar, serving neat pours and straightforward cocktail classics. A retail and bottle shop will offer both everyday whiskies, and limited-edition distillery exclusives.
