LOUISVILLE, KY (November 29, 2016) – Attention parents! Are you a last-minute shopper? Do you enjoy cooking during the holidays? Do you need to keep things afloat at work? Do you need to clean and prepare your home for out-of-town guests? Maybe you just want to unwind and soak in the joy of the season.
No matter what the reason, the Annual Winter Camp at The J provides an opportunity to keep kids’ minds and bodies active while on school break, and it gives parents time to get things accomplished during a typically hectic time of year.
The J, 3600 Dutchman’s Lane, will host two weeks of Winter Camp for children age 2 through 5th grade from December 19-30, 9am-4pm each day. Weekly and daily rates are available, as are extended “Get Up Gang” and “Stay N’ Play” rates.
This year’s theme is “Road Trip: Maine to Florida,” and campers will participate in arts and crafts, sports, games and cultural activities led by artist-in-residence Super Cooper. Campers, K-5th grade, will swim on all non-field trip days, and will need to bring a swimsuit and towel. All campers will need to bring a lunch each day, snacks will be provided. The J’s Annual Winter Camp provides a supportive environment for children to grow and have new experiences.
“Each day, we will explore different states along the Eastern coast and ensure that the learning activities are age-appropriate and engaging for all campers,” says camp director Betsy Schwartz.
