Get ready for things to change again! You may remember the last time it happened! Apple had just introduced the ipad and for many a newspaper or magazine was too simple.
Now get ready for icloud., Apple reviled details of iCloud today. What is it? Well simply put, imagine being able to get on your home or work computer from anywhere in the world. It’s really as simple as that. The information that’s normally stored on your hard drive (documents, pictures, music, books, backups, calendars, etc.), will be accessible from anywhere.
Many of us have already been using a form of cloud computing in the from of websites and programs like Dropbox. But with Dropbox you get 2 Gigabytes of data storage free. More storage will cost you a minimum of 10 bucks a month. Send a friend a link to Dropbox and if they install it you’ll get a little more storage.
Now here comes Apple who will give each and every one of us 5 Gigabytes free, and for $20 a year you’ll get 10 GB’s, 40 bucks a year will give you 20GB’s and for $100 a year you’ll get a whooping 50GB’s.
Apples states on their website: “With iCloud, the music you purchase in iTunes appears automatically on all your devices. You can also download your past iTunes purchases. Where you want, when you want”. For many people the thought of cloud computing may still be a bit of a mystery. But so was the term iPad until you started using one!
