Kentucky Opera Director Unexpectedly Dies in Crash On His Way Home to Louisville

Louisville, Ky., – The Kentucky Opera and the rest of Louisville’s arts community is mourning the sudden loss of Kentucky Opera’s director, David Roth.

The following was posted on Kentucky Opera’s Facebook page Monday morning:

“It is with profound and unspeakable sorrow that we must inform you that our dear friend and Kentucky Opera leader, David Roth, died in a car accident last night. David was returning to Louisville after visiting family in Wisconsin. Few details are available at this time. As more information becomes available we will update our web site at KYOpera.org. David was a positive and powerful presence in the lives of many of us. He will be deeply missed. Please join us in extending our heartfelt condolences to his family.”
