LouisvilleKY., – Louisville’s Holiday in the City promotes holiday happenings and events throughout Downtown Louisville, and markets the city as a holiday destination for residents and visitors. Holiday in the City continues through the holiday season with ice skating at Holiday Square located at 4th and Jefferson. Thanks to our wonderful sponsors!

Q: How much does it cost?

A: All major credit and debit cards accepted.

A: Season passes can be purchased on site for $45.

Q: How can I rent out the skating rink for a private party?
A: There is an additional fee to rent out the skating rink. No private skating during public hours. Please contact Kate at 502-566-0149 or kschroeder@axxisinc.com to arrange.
Q: Do I need to reserve a time to skate?
A: No reservations required.
Q: How many people can be on the skating rink at the same time?
A: For safety reasons, 180 skaters are allowed on the ice at one time.
Q: What is the youngest age to skate?
A: If they can walk, they can skate. New skaters are welcome to bring their own bucket for balance.
Q: What is the smallest size skate at the Skate Shack?
A: The smallest skate is a size 9 for children. Strap on skates can be used as long as the child is less than 40 lbs.
Q: What is the largest size skate at the Skate Shack?
A: Size 14
Q: Is the ice rink real?
A: The Holiday in the City ice skating rink is real ice!
Q: Are there any special discounts?
A: Stop by your nearest MainSource Bank for a special $3 discount to be used at Holiday in the City. MainSource Bank is a platinum sponsor for Holiday in the City and Light Up Louisville.
Q: Can I use two discounts at once?
A: Only one discount can be used at time of purchase.
Q: Where should I park?
A: There is on-street metered parking available near the rink, along with several nearby parking garages.
Q: What if the weather is bad?
A: The Holiday in the City ice skating rink will close if heavy rain is a factor. Updates available on Facebook and Twitter.
