Mayor Fischer, Fund for the Arts, WAVE 3 News, and others to join celebration
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Sept. 12, 2016) — Mayor Greg Fischer will join local community groups to celebrate Louisville singing group Linkin’ Bridge’s run to the finals on “America’s Got Talent” during a free public viewing party on Wednesday.
Linkin’ Bridge — Ekoe Alexanda, Montre Davis, Shon “China” Lacy, and Big Rome Kimbrough — has become a national sensation since first appearing this summer as contestants on the NBC network show. The “America’s Got Talent” Season 11 winner will be announced Wednesday night.
The public is invited to watch the finals and celebrate beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage, 1701 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd.
The finals of “America’s Got Talent” will air from 8-10 p.m. and will be shown on a large screen at the party.
“Linkin’ Bridge and the group’s inspired performances have given our city much to be proud of,” Mayor Fischer said. “I encourage citizens to vote for Linkin’ Bridge on Tuesday and to come together on Wednesday to watch the finals and to celebrate all they’ve accomplished this summer.”

The party will also include live entertainment by rapper and educator Jecorey “1200” Arthur, the youth nonprofit AMPED, and Calvary Missionary Baptist Church Choir. Yum! Brands will provide food.
