Louisville, Ky., – School is almost out for the summer and that means the return of the perennially popular Summer Reading program. Presented by the Library Foundation, this year’s program, “Under the Sea”, encourages kids up to fifth grade to read for fun this summer offering prizes and incentives, including a shark backpack and passes to area attractions.
Summer Reading begins June 1, but you can help us kick it off early on Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. at the Main Library at our Reading Frenzy! There will be stories, games, performances, and activities for the whole family.
The Summer Reading Program and Kickoff are free. Visit LFPL.org/kids or call (502) 574-1620for more information.
And don’t forget! Teens have their own summer reading program: TSR. For more information, visit LFPL.org/teen.
