LOUISVILLE (Jan. 21, 2016) – After years of delivering his State of the City address in Louisville’s various neighborhoods – from west Louisville to Valley Station — Mayor Greg Fischer is bringing the annual event back downtown.
This year the luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 28th, in the Archibald Cochran Ballroom at the Galt House. The State of the City speech is traditionally delivered every January to the Downtown Rotary Club.
The event is free and open to the public, but those planning to attend should RSVP by emailing the Rotary Club at events@rotary45.org by Monday, Jan. 25. Those who plan to have lunch should also email the Rotary Club and will be asked to pay $30.
Last year, the Mayor delivered the State of the City address at the Southwest Regional Library in Valley Station. In 2014, it was at Churchill Downs, and in 2013 he spoke at the African American Heritage Center.
