Louisville Ky radio stations get new rock director

IHEARTMEDIA NAMES TONY TILFORD DIRECTOR OF ROCK PROGRAMMING FOR KENTUCKY-INDIANA REGION

 

LOUISVILLE – APRIL 20, 2016 – iHeartMedia announced today that Tony Tilford has been named Director of Rock Programming for the Kentucky-Indiana region, effective May 1, 2016.  In addition, Tilford will also oversee WQMF-FM and WTFX-FM.

As Director of Rock Programming for the Kentucky-Indiana region, Tilford will work closely with the programming staff and talent for the region’s six rock stations to deliver unique, effective opportunities to reach listeners through iHeartMedia’s unmatched assets, including on-air, online, social media promotions, personality endorsements and live event integrations.  He will be based out of Louisville.

Tilford has more than 30 years of experience in the radio industry, most recently serving as Regional Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Southwest Ohio-Indiana region.  He began his career in 1985, working overnights on the weekend at WKQQ-FM in Lexington.  After working his way up to Program Director at WKQQ-FM, Tilford went on to serve as Program Director at WMMS-FM in Cleveland and WTUE-FM in Dayton.
