Louisville KY Remembers Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs, former CEO of Apple Computers who oversaw the launch of the iPhone, iPad and iPod died earlier today. At around 7:50pm apple.com announced his death. Its very hard to overstate the influence Steve had on the American culture and was described as the Thomas Edison of our times. The first products were assembled in a garage and in 1996 the iMac was launched – becoming the fastest selling computer ever. Oct 2001 the iPod was released – holding 1,000 songs on its debut that fitted into your pocket. In 2005 the Nano was released. Jan 2007 Apple dropped Computer from its name and launched the iPhone and in Jan 2010 Apple filled a gap we didn’t know existed – with the iPad.  At just 56 years old there is hardly a person in Louisville whom Steve jobs has not touched. He will be very much missed.
