Louisville, KY – Teddy Abrams and The Louisville Orchestra present The Bach Effect as part of the 2015-16 Treyton Oak Towers Coffee Concerts and the Brown-Forman Classics Series at the Kentucky Center on Friday, November 6 at 11 a.m. and Saturday, November 7 at 8 p.m. This German and Austrian program allows the audience to travel through time as Music Director Teddy Abrams deconstructs Johann Sebastian Bach’s influences on classical music, including pieces by Strauss, Mozart, Wagner and more. A FREE concert preview, one hour prior to each performance will prepare audiences for what they will hear in the theater. This program will be dedicated to Michael Davis, our Concertmaster for three decades, who will retire after the Louisville Ballet’s Nutcracker in December. This performance will be his last classics performance with the Louisville Orchestra.

Award-winning composer Teddy Abrams returns for his second season as Music Director with the Louisville Orchestra. A highly applauded conductor, pianist, clarinetist, and composer, Abrams was recently named Music Director and Conductor of the Britt Classical Festival. Additionally, he served as the Assistant Conductor of the Detroit Symphony and Resident Conductor of the MAV Symphony Orchestra in Budapest. The unbelievably versatile musician was the youngest conducting student accepted to the Curtis Institute of Music and the Aspen Music Festival.
