Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport to Host Global Entry Enrollment Event

LOUISVILLE, KY – The Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) will host a Global Entry Enrollment Event beginning Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19. Appointments with U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials for applicants will be available daily from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. during this week.

Global Entry is offered through the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Trusted Traveler Programs. It allows pre-approved travelers to expedite their entry into the United States with automated kiosks that streamline the arrival process. Other benefits include no processing lines, no paperwork, access to expedited entry benefits in other countries, reduced wait times and TSA Pre-eligibility.

All international gateway airports that have nonstop service to Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport currently offer Global Entry kiosks for travelers. The temporary Global Entry Enrollment Center at the Louisville airport will be located on the west side of the ticket lobby, behind the Allegiant and United ticket counters.

Applications for Global Entry must first be completed online through the Trusted Traveler Program at https://ttp.cbp.dhs.gov. Any questions about the online application or its process should be directed to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. No walk-up appointments will be accepted at the temporary enrollment center at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. Applicants must bring a valid U.S. passport and another form of ID, such as a driver’s license, to the in-person enrollment interview.

IMPORTANT – Travelers must be conditionally pre-approved prior to the in-person enrollment interview at SDF. Conditional approval can take up to six weeks. Because of this, interested applicants are encouraged to begin the online enrollment process immediately.

How to Apply for Global Entry

1. Create a Trusted Traveler Program (TTP) account at https://ttp.cbp.dhs.gov/. Regardless of age, individuals must have their own TTP account.

2. Log into the TTP account and complete the application. A $100 nonrefundable fee is required with each application.

3. U.S. Customs and Border Protection will then accept and review each application for conditional approval. The applicant will be notified when they are conditionally approved and will then be provided a link to schedule the in-person interview to complete the enrollment process. Each applicant must schedule a separate interview.

Please note, when making an appointment for the temporary enrollment center at the Louisville airport, applicants will need to choose Louisville (LOUVIL) as the enrollment location. Note: The temporary location at the Louisville airport can only be chosen by an applicant who has been conditionally approved and is attempting to schedule the final step in the process. It will not appear in a search for a general enrollment center.
