Louisville Slugger Museum to open new Reds exhibit

Louisville, Ky., – Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory is excited to announce a new special exhibition Cincinnati Reds Legends, that will run August 8th through November 1st, 2015.

The special exhibit, which will be displayed in the museum’s back gallery, is an art exhibit featuring the works of Chris Felix, Scott Hannig and Donnie Pollard specially created for the book Cincinnati Reds Legends, by author Mike Shannon.

Felix and Shannon will participate in a book signing and Q&A session to celebrate the opening of the exhibit, beginning at 1 p.m. on August 8th.

More than a dozen portraits of legendary Cincinnati Reds players from Ernie Lombardi to Johnny Bench to Ken Griffey, Jr. will be on display, as well as unforgettable representations of the Reds’ historic ballparks. There will also be a number of behind-the-scenes items from the artists, each of whom have been featured in exhibitions across the country, and contribute to the literary baseball magazine Spitball.

In addition to the special exhibit, the museum will also premier a model of Great American Ballpark made of LEGO® bricks. The model was made by Jason Burik of Brick Model Design in Pittsburgh.
