LouisvilleKY bids farewell to Rivue

Louisville’s only revolving restaurant on the 25^th floor of the Galt House Hotel will see its final sunset on July 13 and final brunch July 14 to make way for new restaurant concept.

LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY – The Galt House Hotel announced Rivue, its signature revolving restaurant on the twenty fifth floor, will close its doors on of Sunday, July 14 after a final weekend of service. A new restaurant concept will open in the same location in the spring of 2020.

Rivue, which opened in 2006, replacing Flagship, has long been a favorite for brunch, dinner and special occasions due to the spectacular views of the city and river from its twin revolving floors. In 2016, Open Table deemed Rivue one of the country’s most scenic restaurants. AJS Hotels, which owns the Galt House, Crowne Plaza and Embassy Suites, has big plans for the space that will be announced later in the year.

As Rivue heads into its final sunset, there will be plenty of nostalgia to enjoy. The beloved candy cart has made a comeback. The menu features “Flagship and Rivue Classics” and guests are invited to share their photos and memories on the Rivue Facebook and Instagram platforms. Personalized keepsake menus are available for guests with reservations, and the restaurant will be open for pre and post theater seating for Hamilton shows, including Saturday matinees. A Father’s Day brunch menu is planned for Sunday, June 16th. Keepsake photos will be offered to all guests during the final Friday and Saturday of service, July 12 and 13. Management expects the Flagship and Rivue Classics entrees on the menu to sellout every weekend as guests bring their friends and families to bid a fond farewell to this Louisville legend.

Servers and staff of the restaurant will be offered positions elsewhere in the hotel, including Rivue Executive Chef Kendall Linhart.
