LouisvilleKY dominates Bourbon Review’s List of America’s Best Bourbon Bars

 

LOUISVILLE, Ky.  – Bourbon industry publication, The Bourbon Review, has released its annual list of the 101 Best Bourbon Bars in America and Bourbon’s hometown has eight (8) Bourbon bars named, only second to Chicago’s ten (10). The Bourbon Country region as a whole tops the list with 29 of the 101 mentioned.

 

As quoted in the article, these bars “take their Bourbon obsession to another level.”

Eight Louisville destinations were selected as part of the list:

  • Bourbons Bistro
  • Charr’d Bourbon Kitchen & Lounge
  • Derby Café
  • Doc Crow’s Southern Smokehouse & Raw Bar
  • Down One Bourbon Bar
  • Merle’s Whiskey Kitchen
  • Proof on Main
  • Silver Dollar

 

Other Kentucky cities featured were Lexington, Versailles, Bardstown, Elizabethtown, Owensboro, Harrodsburg, Danville, Newport, Burlington and Covington.

 

The criteria for evaluation included seemingly endless displays of Bourbon, extensive Bourbon cocktail options and a pride for educating their patrons on the Bourbon basics.
