Louisville, KY, December 7, 2016– The Kentucky Guild of Brewers (KGB) is thrilled to announce the opening of Mile Wide Beer Company. The grand opening will take place at 636 Barret Avenue in Louisville, KY on Friday December 9th at 2pm. Mile Wide adds another dynamic brewery to the rapidly growing ranks of Kentucky craft beer.
Friends and cofounders Kyle Tavares, Matt Landon, Scott Shreffler, and Patrick Smith have over two decades of brewing industry experience. “It’s been a long road to get to this point, but we couldn’t be more excited to join Louisville’s growing and vibrant craft beer scene!” said Cofounder and Hype-Man Scott Shreffler. “Our goal at Mile Wide is to push boundaries, respect tradition and brew beer with an uncompromising commitment to quality.”
“The Kentucky craft beer industry is thriving and expanding at breakneck speed,” said KGB Executive Director Derek Selznick. “With Mile Wide Beer Company’s opening, Kentucky has added eight new craft breweries to the industry in 2016 alone. Mile Wide is a very welcome addition to the Kentucky Guild of Brewers, bringing years of industry experience and adding another excellent brewery where people can enjoy a taste of Kentucky.”
