LouisvilleKY to Host a Variety of Fan Events leading up to Breeders’ Cup

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The excitement around Breeders’ Cup spans an entire week in a city known for Horse racing and home of the iconic Churchill Downs. A variety of events, including Equestricon, Topgolf Crush and the Breeders’ Cup Festival kicks off Sunday, October 28, culminating with the 35th Annual Breeders’ Cup at Churchill Downs November 2-3.

 

Equestricon, a two-day event which is part fan fest, conference and equestrian-estate/”>equestrian industry trade show all in one, starts the week off at the newly-renovated Kentucky International Convention Center. Fans will have unprecedented access to racing’s stars with expected appearances from the sport’s top jockeys, trainers, owners and farms. A $10 Trade Show Only Pass enables attendees to experience interactive exhibits and connect with more than 100 racing organizations and products in a one-of-a-kind trade show. Topgolf Crush! comes to Cardinal Stadium from October 31-November 10. This unique golf experience offers large glowing targets on the field, ranging from 40 to 150 yards away. The targets have a variety of point values utilizing Toptracer technology tracking every single shot with replays and stats sent to golfers on their bay screens. Tee times are an hour with shots hit from under the scoreboard in the South Endzone onto the field. The Breeders’ Cup Festival is a week-long slate of events that celebrate Louisville’s 9th time hosting the prestigious races. Of note, the Kentucky Derby Museum will unveil its brand-new $6.5 million-dollar expansion and will pay tribute to industry icon D. Wayne Lukas by presenting him with the Breeders’ Cup Sports & Racing Excellence Award October 31.
