Louisville’s Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular begins this week

Louisville, KY., – The pumpkins are back and, once again, they have taken over Iroquois Park. The Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular kicks off this Thursday, Oct. 8 and runs through Nov. 1. Roughly 5,000 carved pumpkins line a ¼-mile walking trail, illuminated at night as an “art show” daily from dusk to 11 p.m. during the week (Sunday-Thursday) and midnight on Friday & Saturday.

Music and themed scenes guide guests through the soft surface, woodland path.

Docents are stationed along the trail and are available for assistance as needed. In addition, the Iroquois Amphitheater can provide one or more escorts for the entire trail for visitors who use a wheelchair or have other mobility needs. Please inform the box office upon your arrival if you require such assistance.

No pets or animals are allowed in the Iroquois Amphitheater or on the Jack O’ Lantern Spectacular trail other than service animals such as seeing-eye pets under leash control of their owner.

The event is held rain or shine. Coach drop-off and on-site parking is available.

Jack O’ Lantern Spectacular is produced by Louisville Metro Parks in conjunction with Passion for Pumpkins, a multimedia production company with 25 years’ experience in redefining fall by transforming any landscape into an illuminated organic gallery.
