Metro Council Budget Committee to hold second Public Hearing for LouisvilleKY’s Budgets

Louisville – The Louisville Metro Council’s Budget Committee will hold its next public hearing on Tuesday, May 15th on Mayor Greg Fischer’s proposed 2018 -2019 Capital and Operating Budgets.

“There were 26 groups that came before the Committee last week to discuss their program needs. This second hearing will offer other the chance to come forward and give their views on how the Metro Council should spend tax dollars,” says Councilman Bill Hollander (D-9), Chair of the Committee.

This year, the committee is adding a third opportunity for the public to speak about the budget on Monday, May 21 at 6:00 p.m.

The May 15 public hearing will be open to all speakers on the budget.  On May 21, no External Agency Fund applicants will be permitted to speak and the committee hopes to hear from the public about more general aspects of the budget.

Sign-up sheets for the May 15th and May 21st meetings will be available one hour prior to the public hearings.

Louisville Fire & Emergency Services – Monday, June 4, beginning at 4:00 pm
Public Health & Wellness – Wednesday, June 13 at 3:45 pm
