Jessica and David Richter, owners of The Last Place, a bar on Whiskey Row in downtown Louisville situated on the lower level of Number 15, have bought Naïve Kitchen + Bar (1001 E. Washington St. in Butchertown) from founder Catherine MacDowell.
Owners behind The Last Place to take over Naïve, by Michael L. Jones (Louisville Business First)
Naïve will close on November 24 for renovations and will reopen in January. Richter said she and her husband intend to keep the name of the restaurant, but the menu will be updated to include Latin American-inspired dishes.
“We’re still keeping it farm-to-table but it will not be so vegetarian,” Richter added.
Jones quotes MacDowell from Instagram.
“Louisville, it’s been an incredible nearly 7-year journey with you all! From a humble farmers market tent to becoming a part of your lives, Naïve has grown in ways I never imagined. I’m endlessly grateful for this community’s support, especially through the highs and lows of the last few years.”
