Its been a turbulent time here in the US for several years now.
Last night’s Presidential speech sparked so much debate about JOBS, WORK and the US economy, that its hard to keep up with the rhetoric.
In that light, I found this video clip of VP Biden and House Speaker John Boehner chatting up their golf game before hand to be strangely comforting that these are still just men with a job to do:
Not to make light of the economic catastrophe that the US in, but nice to see divided parties are still somewhat human in this whole mess.
I, for one, have felt EVERY effect of the stock market crash, mortgage failures and the slowing ( to a screeching halt) economy.
That said, I am thankful for so many things, including the freedom to write here from the comfort of my mac, with lights warmth and candor. All made possible by our men and women who fight the world’s injustices for our freedom.

Never shall we forget the first responders, mere mortals and powers that be who work diligently to keep our country safe.
In honor of those who have fallen, I give you a few local happenings in which you may go an commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11.
Middletown Festival to Conclude with
9/11 Service of Tribute
Sunday, 9/11 at 11:00am
Middletown United Methodist Church
11902 Old Shelbyville Road
The service will honor all first responders and remember those who sacrificed their lives on 9/11/2001.
Members of The Louisville Orchestra will join with a large choir to provide spirited patriotic music as tribute is rendered to God and country.
Many guests will be present, including Congressman John Yarmuth, Mayor Greg Fisher, Metro Council members, Kentucky State Representatives and Senators, Middletown City Officials and many others.
The most important guests will be representatives of our first responder agencies — the first responders themselves and their families.
Also featuring:
· Displays of first responder equipment
· Games for kids
· Refreshments will be served
Everyone is invited to this Metro-wide special service of remembrance and tribute.
