New Soccer Stadium Vision Confirmed with donation

549831_10151246569331973_1787444623_nDr. Mark Lynn, owner of Dr Bizer’s VisionWorld and his wife, Cindy Lynn, have made a $5 million donation to the University of Louisville to help fund construction of a new soccer stadium on the U of L campus.

The total cost of the stadium is expected to be $17.5 million.

The 5,300-seat stadium, which will be named the Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium, will have a 15,500-square-foot training center with identical locker rooms for the U of L men’s and women’s soccer teams. It is expected to be completed in September 2014 and will be located at Floyd Street and Byrne Avenue.

U of L has invested an estimated $148 million in sports venues from 2010 to 2012, in addition to $12 million the school has spent on land acquisitions on Floyd Street.

Perhaps Dr Lynn can get a pair of the new Google Glasses, currently in beta mode, but those with a compelling story and $1,500 to drop can “try them”.
