According to owner Ian Hall, inspiration for his forthcoming restaurant OutCast Fish & Oyster (207 E. Main in New Albany) comes from the seafood scene in Charleston, South Carolina.

The owner behind two longtime restaurants in Southern Indiana is opening a new concept.
Ian Hall, who founded The Exchange Pub + Kitchen and Brooklyn and the Butcher, will open a seafood concept called OutCast Fish & Oyster at 207 E. Main St., New Albany, Indiana. The restaurant is under construction and is targeting a December opening.
But here’s the part that probably will excite Louisville foodies the most.
Mark Ford, the chef de cuisine at Anoosh Bistro, will lead the kitchen at OutCast and has already begun menu development. Hall said his culinary director, Chef Ming Pu, has worked with Ford at many food events and that Ford was looking for a new challenge.
