Paradise American Indian Cuisine is open in Middletown

Presumably in paradise, a realm of ultimate happiness, there exists menu items for each and every one of us, rather like a continuously replenished smorgasbord of pure gluttony.

And no Lite beer at all.

For me, any mention of the word “paradise” in a culinary context prompts immediate thoughts of loaded hot dogs, with concurrent flashbacks to the riotous comic novel A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole, in which protagonist Ignatius J. Reilly lands a job at a firm called Paradise Vendors, pushing a weenie cart through New Orleans and gleefully consuming the profits.

We exist in the real world, so our attention turns to the recently opened Paradise American-Indian Cuisine in Middletown (12951 Shelbyville Road), where an expansive menu includes Indian dishes (tikka masala, pakora), American offerings (wings and nachos), along with chicken chow mein, salmon and red velvet cake for good measure.
