Nepal has coffee: Phalcha Coffee set up shop at 1001 Mary St. in Germantown in early 2024, with iced coffee flights, artful coffee creations, ube, waffles and ice cream.
The owners are Nepali, and the startup has been such a success that another iteration is opening today in St. Matthews at 3900 Shelbyville Rd., adjacent to Limon y Sal.

Coffee farming in Nepal has given the world a new type of coffee – Himalayan Arabica Coffee, which is a slight twist in the original Arabica Coffee, caused due to the difference in the soil, water, altitude and climate. Nepal is now renowned among the people who are crazy about coffee.
