Pide Point brings Turkish street food to Fern Creek

Pide Point (and at Facebook) is a new chef-owned Turkish restaurant in Fern Creek, which opened in early September.

Stone-oven pide, lahmacun, kebabs and köfte — dine in, takeout and delivery at 5404 Delmaria Way.

The web site has concise menu assistance.

  • Pide: Turkish boat-shaped flatbread from the stone oven — often called Turkish pizza.
  • Lahmacun: a thin, crispy round flatbread topped with spiced ground beef — a meat pie you roll up.
  • Kumpir: a giant oven-baked potato loaded with cheese and toppings — Istanbul street food.
  • Tantuni: a chicken wrap cooked fast on a hot plate with spices — southern Turkey’s answer to the taco.
  • Karnıyarık: oven-baked eggplant split open and stuffed with ground beef.
  • Ayran: a cold, frothy yogurt drink — the thing Turks actually drink with pide.
  • Sütlaç: baked Turkish rice pudding with a caramelized top.
  • Çay: Turkish black tea, served strong in small glasses, all day long.

Pide Point’s entire menu is halal, and the eatery is not serving alcoholic beverages.
