Plum Pretty won the Kentucky Oaks Friday, with Martin Garcia aboard, paying $14.60 to win for me and everyone who believed my pick yesterday. A few races earlier, Baffert-trained First Dude won the Alysheba Stakes race. Yea, I had that one, too.
So I guess I have to include Midnight Interlude in my Derby picks tomorrow.
The crowd at the Oaks was announced at 110,122, the third-largest in Oaks history. It was especially crowded, yet subdued, in the Paddock.
