Louisville, KY. – The Kentucky Derby Festival will hold its annual Republic Bank Pegasus Parade Position Draw on Tuesday, April 16, at SuperChefs at 1702 Bardstown Road in Louisville. The 2019 float and inflatable sponsors will be introduced as they draw for positions in the parade.
The 64th Republic Bank Pegasus Parade on Thursday, May 2, is themed “Pegasus Power,” and will be a spectacle of colorful floats, marching bands, giant inflatables, equestrian-estate/”>equestrians and celebrities parading down Broadway in downtown Louisville. Nearly 250,000 spectators are expected to line the 1.7-mile route to enjoy the more than 100 units in the two-hour march.

Tickets for the Parade are currently on sale online at KDF.org or by calling the Kentucky Derby Festival at (502) 584-FEST. Ticket prices are $10 for bleacher seats; $12 chair seating and $30 VIP seats.
Republic Bank returns as title sponsor of the event since 2002, joining Contributing Sponsor KentuckyOne Health and The Galt House as the Official Hotel.
Since 1956, the Derby Festival has worked to bring the community together in celebration. The Festival is an independent community organization supported by 4,000 volunteers, 400 businesses and civic groups, Pegasus Pin sponsorships and event participation. This involvement has made the Festival the largest single attended event in Kentucky and one of the leading community celebrations in the world.
