Raising Cane in South Louisville

Louisville, Ky., – The popular Louisiana-based chain known for its ONE LOVE® – quality chicken finger meals – has opened its newest location this morning on Dixie Highway. It’s the ninth Raising Cane’s in the state of Kentucky and the third in Louisville. CRM Companies, based in Lexington, KY, developed and runs the restaurants in the Bluegrass State.

Located at 5212 Dixie Highway in Louisville, the new restaurant employs 60 newly hired crewmembers.

“I’ve opened around 20 restaurants before, but this one has raised my excitement level to an all-time high. There’s no place like Raising Cane’s – our quality and expectations are far above any company I’ve ever worked with,” said General Manager Joey Goode, who has called Louisville home for most of his life. “Not to mention, I’ve hired 60 new crewmembers and each of them is awesome in his or her own way. I love developing future leaders and I see several in this group.”

Founded by Todd Graves in 1996 and named for his beloved yellow Labrador, Raising Cane’s mission extends beyond the kitchen and into the community with each grand opening. On Tuesday, a percentage of sales will be donated to USA Cares, an organization dedicated to helping post-9/11 military families bear the burdens of service by providing financial and advocacy support in their time of need.

“USA Cares is an incredible organization doing life-changing work for wounded veterans and their families,” said Goode. “It’s our privilege to dedicate a portion of our opening day sales to helping these true American heroes.”

Hours of operation at the new Raising Cane’s are Sunday through Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to midnight.
