First 20 customers get free Cane’s for a year
Raising Cane’s will make a sizeable donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana
LOUISVILLE, Ky., November 7, 2016 – Caniacs in Middletown have been heard and are getting a Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers restaurant of their own.
This popular eatery known for its ONE LOVE® – quality chicken finger meals – will hold its latest grand opening ceremony Wednesday, November 9, ushering in Louisville’s fifth Raising Cane’s, the 12th in Kentucky. CRM Companies, based in Lexington, Ky., developed and operates the Kentucky restaurants.
Located at 12009 Shelbyville Road in Middletown – near Historic Main Street and Eastern High School – the new restaurant will kick off festivities at 10:30 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, with Councilwoman Julie Denton and Mayor of Middletown J. Byron Chapman. Doors open following the ceremony. The first 20 customers will receive free Cane’s for a year. The next 100 will receive vouchers for free meals with the purchase of a regular combo meal that may be redeemed on a subsequent visit. During previous openings, customers have arrived a day early to camp out.
Patrons will be treated to traditional cheers and other high-energy chants to launch the location in unique Cane’s fashion, compliments of the more than 50 newly hired crewmembers. Throughout the day, staff will hand out prizes totaling over $1,000.
Guests can meet Louisville City FC soccer players from 2 to 4 p.m. as they serve meals at the drive thru and sign autographs. All customers during the first week of business can enter to win free Cane’s for a year.
“We love Louisville, and it’s great to know that Louisville loves us back,” said General Manager Kyle Nicholas. “We’re excited to expand into Middletown, where we already have a strong base of Caniacs. We’ve become very involved in the local communities throughout Louisville since we first arrived in early 2013, and we’re looking forward to working with the schools and other organizations in and around Middletown.”
Founded by Todd Graves in 1996 and named for his beloved yellow Labrador retriever, Raising Cane’s mission extends beyond the kitchen and into the community with each grand opening. On Wednesday, 100 percent of net proceeds from the day’s sales will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana to support one-to-one mentoring for local youth. Prior to opening day, Nicolas and his fellow crewmembers volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters during a day of service.
Hours of operation at the Middletown Raising Cane’s are Sunday through Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12 a.m.
