Uppill Road open Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays
Louisville, KY., – Metro Parks and Recreation will keep the road to the top of Iroquois Park open to vehicle traffic through the end of 2016, officials announced today.
Typically the gate at Uppill Road that allows vehicles to pass to the top is open Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays through the end of October, but officials considered the demand to see the newly renovated North Overlook along with the warm, dry weather that’s taken place during the fall in making the decision.
Director Seve Ghose said the gate will be open, weather permitting, and that the hours for 2017 will be discussed in the coming months as officials evaluate road wear and tear and safety from the additional traffic.
The gate to the top of the road will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays through Sunday, January 1, 2017.
