The real truth in Louisville is that some of the best political reporting to be found comes from public radio station WFPL-FM.
And a few years ago, when reporter Gabe Bullard convinced the bosses over there to allow him to blog about news that didn’t always make the station’s newscast, news junkies flocked to The Edit. But now The Edit is being shut down.
Bullard got promoted to news director at the station, and Donovan Reynolds reached over to LEO to snare Phillip Bailey to take his place. And now the station has launched a blog just for his political reports — Noise and Notes. The name, he says, is a play on the traditional “News and Notes” segments on NPR.
Bailey said he plans to “bring a little alt to it.”
It will be worth reading.
