Southeast Christian Church’s FREE Family Palooza Labor Day Celebration was a happening! The weather was cool but better than the 102 degrees that had plagued Kentuckiana for a week. The Family Palooza was filled with lots of activities for kids of all ages.
The most popular activity was the pony rides. The pony rides had the longest lines but what kid wouldn’t want to ride a pony! Three stations were set up for the pony rides and it was apparent the kids and parents loved the ponies, too.
There was also a petting zoo with an assortment of kid-friendly animals.
Because of cool air, not as many kids were taking advantage of the water slides but there were many other inflatables that the kids could enjoy, as well. Inflatables popular for the older kids were the bicycle track, a boxing ring, and all the obstacle courses.
The Preschool Playland and Face Painting were available for the younger kids both.
One of the family favorite activities was the Bubble Truck. There were big bubbles and little bubbles that were making the kids squeal with excitement.
The train ride was popular for the kids as well. Lots of carnival type food was available as well. On stage was a 45-minute fun, noisy, zany, multimedia, kid-focused extravaganza and lots of kid-friendly music to keep the kids entertained.
Angela and Charles Horn were there with their 3 kids. Daughter, Annabelle, slept through all the fun while her brothers were bouncing all over the place!
My favorite tee-shirt had to be worn by Eryn Barnes. Eryn said the Tuxedo belonged to his friend, who remained nameless!
